From his winter dwelling
Saw no shadow on the ground
Springtime was foretelling
Winter soon will go away
Warmth of spring returning
Longer now gets every day
As the planet's turning.
Winter winds are icy cold
A chilly type sensation
So that we resort to find
Some warmth in hibernation
Snug within our burrows we
Escape the winter's blast
